Why should I join the Season Ticket Option Holder plan?

Because the bowl has been selling option seats since July 1992, each year the availability of lower level locations decreases. To acquire the best seat possible and have the best opportunity to purchase a ticket, football fans should purchase tickets in advance of the team announcement through the bowls Season Ticket Option Holder plan.

Can I order tickets on the Internet?

Option holder tickets can be purchased on the Valero Alamo Bowl Web site each year until the teams are announced (or if an announcement is pending). The tickets sold on the bowl website prior to team announcement are season "option" tickets which means the buyer has the option to renew the same seats (and upgrade when better seats are available) every year.

Can I renew my option seats online?

Yes, online renewals will be available each year. Your seat locations will remain the same and you will be renewed. If you have any questions about your renewal, please call (210) 226-2695.

How many rows are there in each section?

The lower level (the 100 level) has 35 rows. When you enter through the plaza level, you enter on row 19. The club level hangs over rows 28-35 on the lower level. The club level (the 200 level) has six rows of permanent seating along the northside (rows 1-6) and an additional four rows (rows 7-10) of folding chairs on the southside. The upper level (the 300 level) has 28 rows.

How many seats are there in each row?

Generally speaking most sections on all levels have 24 seats in each row, but it does vary. The seats are numbered 1-24 from left-to-right when you are looking into the stands from the field.

When will I receive my game tickets?

All game tickets ordered through the Valero Alamo Bowl by September 1 will receive a commemorative ticket that will be mailed out in November. Please call our office at (210) 226-2695 if you do not receive game tickets by early December. Tickets ordered through the bowl office after September 1 will be processed and mailed within 7-10 business days. For tickets ordered through Ticketmaster or the university, please refer to their policies.

Does my child need a ticket?

Everyone entering the stadium must have a ticket. This change was implmeneted in March 2006 based on feedback from Valero Alamo Bowl option ticket holders mainly because in a soldout Alamodome there is little room for lap children and the noise levels are very high. The Alamo Bowl Box Office will try and accomodate requests to relocate people so everyone can be together or a single SRO ticket can be purchased if needed.

How do I get a souvenir ticket?

All Season Ticket Option Holders purchased through the bowl prior to September 1 will automatically receive souvenir tickets. These tickets will be sent directly from the ticket printer in November. Option Holder tickets purchased after September 1 will be processed and mailed within 30 working days and are not guaranteed to be on souvenir stock.

Where can I buy Valero Alamo Bowl tickets?

How much are bowl tickets?

With the blending of the primary and secondary ticket markets, the Valero Alamo Bowl started demand base pricing for our tickets during the 2011 season. On a higher demand game, all tickets will be well above the initial face value. This rewards our annual buyers and makes the team tickets a better value.

Even on lesser demand games when we lower prices to compete with the secondary market, the prime locations have often returned double the early Fall pricing.

What are the chances of upgrading my option tickets?

Bowl option holders are sent a renewal mailing in the first quarter of each year. On average, the bowl ticket office is able to move a few hundred accounts to better locations. First and second year option holders who are sitting outside the 20 yard lines have the greatest chance of receiving an upgrade. Ticket holders inside the 20 yard lines on the club and lower levels will have difficulty upgrading (especially those with more than two seats) since existing ticket holders in these prime locations rarely give up their seats.

All ticket option holders will be notified of the upgrade/relocation process in April/May of each year.

Can I order a commemorative ticket?

All ticket orders through the bowl office before September 1 will receive a commemorative, souvenir-style ticket. Based on the heavy demand for this year's game, the bowl will not have any commemorative tickets available for souvenirs after the game.

Where can I purchase a ticket and hospitality package?

For the elite fan looking for the VIP Experience, official ticket and hospitality packages are available from PrimeSport. PrimeSport hospitality is available with or without game tickets and includes regional food stations, open bar, music and more! View packages >>
