A CUT ABOVE
Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Weeden tied an Alamo Bowl record throwing for 3 touchdowns. Five different players (Michigan’s Chad Henne, Nebraska’s Zac Taylor, Kansas State’s Michael Bishop, Purdue’s Drew Brees and California’s Dave Barr) have thrown three touchdowns in the Valero Alamo Bowl’s 18-year history.

Arizona quarterback Nick Foles became the third Arizona Wildcat quarterback to pass for 3,000 yards in a season with 278 yards passing in the Valero Alamo Bowl. Foles finished with 3,189 yards for the season.
 
RUBBER MATCH
With its win in the Valero Alamo Bowl Oklahoma State is now 4-3 all-time against Arizona. The two teams last met in 1942 and will play in Stillwater on Sept. 10, 2011 and in Tucson on Sept. 8, 2012.
 
CENTURY CLUB
Arizona linebacker Paul Vasallo is the first Wildcat player since 2007 to hit the 100 tackle mark in a season. Vasallo’s seven tackles in the Valero Alamo Bowl give him 101 for the 2010 season.
 
CATCHING CRINER
Arizona wide receiver Juron Criner’s nine receptions tied an Arizona bowl record set by Troy Dickey in the 1992 John Hancock Bowl against Baylor. Criner grabbed the third most receptions in Alamo Bowl history behind Texas Tech’s Detron Lewis’ 10 (vs. Michigan State) and Purdue’s Isaac Jones’ 11 (vs. Kansas State).
 
LIKE A BROKEN RECORD
Nick Foles set Arizona bowl records for pass attempts and completions in the Valero Alamo Bowl. He completed 30 out of 52 pass attempts. The previous high for attempts was 38 by George Malauulu in the 1992 John Hancock Bowl against Baylor. The previous high for completions and yards was 24 completions for 325 yards by Willie Tuitama in the 2008 Las Vegas Bowl.
 
RETURNING THE FAVOR
Arizona wide receiver Travis Cobb’s 64 yard kickoff return in the first quarter is the second longest return in Valero Alamo Bowl. The longest kickoff return in bowl history is held by Michigan’s Steve Breaston who had a 69 yard return in the 2005 Alamo Bowl against Nebraska.
 
GRAB BAG
OSU receiver Justin Blackmon stands alone in NCAA history as the first player to gain 100 receiving yards and catch at least one touchdown in every game of a 12-game single season.
 
FIRST CLASS
The Oklahoma State senior class finished its career with a school-record 36 wins (34, 87-88). The class also never missed a bowl game and made OSU history with 3-straight nine-win teams and part of five teams that won at least seven games. 
 
IN THE WEEDS
Cowboys QB Bandon Weeden’s 244 yards passing is his second lowest total of the season (218 yards vs. Washington State).
 
HEAVEN ELEVEN
Oklahoma State’s Alamo Bowl victory gives the program its first 11-win season in school history.
 
THAT’S A FIRST
OSU’s win is its first against the Pac-10 in a bowl game (1-1). The Cowboys improve to 9-10 all-time against the Pac-10. 
 
GOOD & TWENTY
The win gives OSU 20 wins in a two-year period for only the second time in school history (1987-88).
 
ONE & DONE
Justin Blackmon’s 71-yard catch in the first quarter marked the fourth time this season the Cowboys have had a one-play touchdown drive.
 
OUT OF THE HUNT
Despite the win, OSU tailback Kendall Hunter tallied a season low in rushing yards (27). Hunter was held under 100 yards for only the fourth time all season.
 
STEADY BOWLER
Oklahoma State improved its all-time record in bowl games to 13-8.
 
BLACKMON MAGIC
OSU receiver Justin Blackmon set a school record for receiving yards in a season (1,782), passing Rashaun Woods’ 1,695 in 2002.
 
CATCH A GLIMPSE
Cowboys wideout Justin Blackmon’s 117 receiving yards gave him 1,782 for the season, moving him into 6th place on the NCAA’s single-season yardage list.
 
THIRD-TIME CHARM
Oklahoma State’s victory is the school’s first in Alamo Bowl history, improving its record to 1-2 after losses to Ohio State (2004) and Purdue (1997).
 
HERE’S THE CATCH
Justin Blackmon had 8 catches giving him 110 for the season, a Cowboys record for receptions in a season, passing the previous mark of 102 by Rashaun Woods in 2002.
 
BAILEY MISSED   
OSU kicker Dan Bailey’s missed PAT late in the first quarter marked only the second time all season he failed to convert an extra point. He had one blocked earlier in the season after converting a school-record 182 consecutive PATs.
 
WELL RECIEVED
Oklahoma State’s Justin Blackmon is the only recipient of the Fred Biletnikoff Award ever to play in the Valero Alamo Bowl. Blackmon is the only Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year to ever appear in the game.
 
PICK-TURE PERFECT
OSU defensive back Markelle Martin’s 62-yard interception return is the second-longest interception return for a touchdown in Alamo Bowl history, tying California’s Jerrot Willard (vs. Iowa ’93), behind Colorado’s Don Strickland (vs. Wisconsin ’02). It was also the third interception/fumble return for a TD this season of at least 60 yards for the Cowboys defense.
 
THIRD PLACE
The Cowboys’ Justin Blackmon 71-yard TD catch is the third-longest grab in Alamo Bowl history behind Kansas State’s Darnell McDonald (88 yard TD vs, Purdue ‘98) and Texas’ Jamaal Charles (72 yards vs. Iowa ’06).
