With the holiday season approaching and college football nearing its postseason, it’s never too early to start planning your Bowl Week schedule. Here are three upcoming Valero Alamo Bowl events to keep your calendar open for:
Rudy’s Bar-B-Q Pep Rally
Date: Thursday, December 31
Time: 5:00 PM
Location: Arneson River Theatre, San Antonio River Walk
Cost: Free!
The head coaches, football players, bands and cheerleaders of both teams will face off in a spirited pep rally that takes place right on the River Walk. You will have the opportunity to see the players and the bands enter the Arneson River Theatre on San Antonio River Cruisers. Seating is limited so come early and be ready to cheer for your favorite team!
PrimeSport Kickoff Luncheon
Date: Friday, January 1
Time: Starts at Noon, doors open at 11:30 am
Location: Marriott Rivercenter
Cost: $75 per person, click here to purchase tickets
Enjoy entertainment from the cheerleaders and bands as everyone comes together for a delicious meal the day before the big game. Emceed by ESPN’s broadcast crew, football fans will hear firsthand insight from the two head coaches and team captains.
Valero Alamo Bowl Fan Zone
Date: Saturday, January 2
Time: Noon
Location: Sunset Station
Right before kickoff, fans can participate in pregame festivities in the Historic Sunset Station (one block north of the main Alamodome entrance). The Valero Alamo Bowl Fan Zone includes a variety of interactive games that encourage fan participation and challenge their football skills and agility.
Enjoy some great food and drink while you listen to music and prepare for the big game. Be sure to get your face painted as well as pick up your official game program and merchandise. This event is free to the public meaning there are no excuses not to come see us on game day!
