The Valero Alamo Bowl salutes the brave men and women who defend our country and through its partnership with Hero Hut through 2025, the Bowl will host an in-game VIP hospitality space and tailgate for active-duty military, veterans, first responders, and their families.
“We are beyond excited and honored to have the opportunity to bring Hero Hut to the Valero Alamo Bowl again this year,” Hero Hut Founder & President David Hoffmaster said. “The Valero Alamo Bowl team has been amazing to work with and has opened the door for active-military, veterans, and first responders to have a great day with their families, connect in a meaningful way, and learn about meaningful resources and benefits available to them.”
The Hero Hut Military & First Responders Club will be located outside of Section 348 and is FREE for all ticketed military, veterans, first responders and their families. The space will include a full-service cash bar, concessions, and various military and veteran support organizations. In addition, Hero Hut will host a tailgate open to military, veterans, first responders, and their families ahead of kickoff for this year’s game.
“San Antonio’s military community is an important part of the city and its history,” Valero Alamo Bowl CEO Derrick Fox said. “Hero Hut is the perfect partner for the Valero Alamo Bowl to enhance our gameday experience for our active-duty military, veteran, and first responder community.”

About Hero Hut: Hero Hut is a nationwide non-profit that builds collaborative community spaces for military, veterans, first responders, and their families at major events. Each Hero Hut is a space where veterans and their families can connect, relax with their friends and family, and forge a connection with their local community. Equally as important as our community building initiatives, is our emphasis on collaboration. Hero Hut is a space for all veteran focused non-profits and government agencies to set up shop and engage with our guests. These organizations utilize Hero Hut, free of charge, in order to help our guests learn about the resources and benefits available to them. So, whether you are a veteran, love a veteran, or want to help a veteran, you have come to the right place. Welcome to Hero Hut! Defined by Service, Surrounded by Community.
