Pac-12
The Pac-12 just got a whole lot more complicated.
Washington (8-2) edged out an impressive victory on the road over Oregon (8-2) to hand the Ducks their first conference loss. The Huskies have been playing quality football as of late, and have put themselves right back in the mix for the Valero Alamo Bowl after four straight wins.
Arizona (4-6) delivered a tough blow to UCLA (8-2) as they bested the Bruins in a thrilling upset.
Week 12’s schedule has huge implications for the Valero Alamo Bowl. Oregon (8-2) hosts Utah (8-2), and USC (9-1) plays UCLA (8-2). This means two of the conferences top teams are guaranteed to lose, which is good news for Washington. If the Huskies win over Colorado (1-9), they stand to benefit from those losses.
Big 12
TCU (10-0) refuses to lose. The Horned Frogs traveled into Austin and defeated Texas (6-4) in what was a stellar defensive showing by the Frogs. They held Texas to under 200 yards of total offense and only 28 rushing yards. With the win, TCU clinched their spot in the Big 12 conference championship, although who they’ll play has yet to be determined.
Kansas State (7-3) stayed in the mix for the Valero Alamo Bowl with a convincing win over Baylor, and Oklahoma State (7-3) grinded out a narrow victory over Iowa State (4-6).
