TCU (11-0) vs Baylor (6-5) proved to be an instant classic. In one of the most exciting games all year, Baylor nearly spoiled TCU’s perfect season. The Horned Frogs narrowly escaped with a 29-28 victory that came on a last second field goal.
Elsewhere in the conference, Oklahoma (6-5) bested Oklahoma State (7-4) in the famous “Bedlam” rivalry to become bowl eligible, and Texas (7-4) cruised to victory past Kansas (6-5).
Kansas State (8-3) remained steadfast in second place with their win over West Virginia (4-7).
Pac-12
USC (10-1) vs UCLA (8-3) was our game of the week, and it didn’t disappoint. The battle of LA turned into a shootout, with both offenses looking unstoppable. USC edged out a 48-45 victory behind Caleb Williams’ career high 503 all-purpose yards.
Led by an injured Bo Nix, Oregon (9-2) grinded out a 20-17 win over Utah (8-3) to put them back on the path to a conference championship berth and potentially the Valero Alamo Bowl.
Washington (9-2) took care of business against Colorado (1-10) with a 55-7 victory, so they benefitted from Utah and UCLA’s losses. The Huskies leapfrogged both teams in the CFP poll and moved up to #13.
