The Valero Alamo Bowl is teaming up with Champions fore Charity to raise funds for our high school and college scholarship programs. After debuting in 2000 with 26 San Antonio high school students splitting $52,000, our two programs now combine to award over $1 million to 185+ deserving students every year making it the largest local scholarship total of all the bowls.
Formerly known as Birdies for Charity, Champions fore Charity is a fundraising program that provides participating charities and schools the opportunity to generate contributions through the Valero Texas Open. Champions fore Charity gives 100% of the funds raised back to the participating organizations, plus a 7% match.
Donors have the opportunity to win one of twenty-five $100 Valero gas gift cards and a chance to win a Stay & Play Package to TPC San Antonio and JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort through the Guess The Champion Contest. For more information, please visit the Donor Incentives page.
