What is your favorite part about living in San Antonio?
“I think really just the people. Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. Honestly just the friendships I’ve made whether that be at school or at work or the tennis team. All the people I’ve gotten to know over the last few years and the relationships I’ve developed.”
What path led you to this job?
“I had Rick as a professor at Trinity for one of my classes and I really enjoyed the class. He also brought Julie Baker as a guest speaker one time too. At that time I had started doing digital work for the Trinity football team and the football coach is good friends with Rick so he told me about an opening here and I applied.”
When did your passion for video and digital media start?
“I would say my freshman year of college. My friend and I would send each other NFL highlight videos and I started editing them for fun on iMovie. Then a couple of guys on the football team asked if I could make them highlight videos. I made those and the coaches ended up seeing them and they decided to hire me as a student worker. After that I was introduced to Adobe and more professional software and really started enjoying it.”
What do you love about video editing?
“I’m not an artist but I feel like creating and editing videos is kind of like my art. I get to create my own vision and have sort of an artistic outlet.”
