Evelyn was born and raised in San Juan, Texas. She is currently pursing a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of the Incarnate Word, with an expected graduation date of May 2025. She joined the Valero Alamo Bowl team this fall in the Event and Hospitality department.
What is your favorite thing about living in San Antonio?
All the culture. San Antonio is rich with its own culture and traditions, so getting the chance to experience and embrace it all is incredible.
What has been your favorite part about working for the Valero Alamo Bowl?
My favorite part about working for the Valero Alamo Bowl so far has been getting to work and get to know everyone on the staff.
What inspired you to pursue a career in sports?
The fast paced environment had been what really inspired me into pursing a career in sports. I don’t like to sit still very much, so I knew had to do something that allowed me to be on my feet for a period of time.
What do you like most about event planning?
What I like the most about event planning is watching everything I’ve gotten the chance to work on come to life. There is so much that goes into running successful events that many people don’t think about and it brings so much fulfillment to see all the time and effort be right in front of you.
What are you most looking forward to during Bowl Week?
I’m probably most excited for Rico’s River Rally, it’s really nice to see all the people that come out and support the teams and show their spirt.
