Employee Spotlight: Ryan Cosper

Ryan was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He attended West Texas A&M where he played football and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Management. He recently moved to San Antonio and joined the Valero Alamo Bowl team in the Ticket Sales and Service department!

What is your favorite thing about living in San Antonio?

The warm weather, the unique cultures found across the city and the San Antonio river boat tour.

What has been your favorite part about working for the Valero Alamo Bowl?

The attitude around the office is positive, but expectations are high. I truly appreciate the camaraderie among the team and how everyone is dedicated to putting on a fantastic event.

What inspired you to pursue a career in sports?

I love sports, but especially football. From a young age, I was captivated by the excitement and strategy of the game. My passion for sports naturally evolved into a desire to work in the industry, where I could combine my love for the game with a career that brings fans together and creates unforgettable experiences.

What do you like about working in the ticketing sales and service world?

It is a results-driven business, and each phone call is a new experience. I enjoy the challenge of connecting with different customers and finding ways to meet their needs. The fast-paced environment keeps me on my toes, and I find it rewarding to contribute directly to creating memorable moments for fans attending the events.

What are you most looking forward to during bowl week?

I’m particularly excited to watch two talented teams compete at a high level in such a prestigious bowl. I also look forward to seeing fans travel from all over to unite in support of their teams; the energy they will bring will be truly special.

What is something you are hoping to do during your free time while living in Texas?

I am a huge history buff, so I am hoping to make it to Austin for a weekend and do a tour of the State Capital and the Texas State History Museum.

If you were in a room with 1,000 other random people, what do you think you would be better at than the rest?

Believe it or not, I’m actually a huge NBA fan. I think if I was in a situation like that, I would say that I would be the best at naming where the most underrated players went to college.
