Security Service Insurance Golf Classic Moves To TPC San Antonio

One of San Antonio’s biggest charity golf tournaments is getting bigger as the Security Service Insurance Golf Classic has expanded to two days and moved to a new home, TPC San Antonio.

Taking place on November 19th and 20th, this year’s tournament will have the player gifts, on-course prizes and extensive food and drink options that has driven its popularity in addition to the chance play on TPC San Antonio’s two world class courses. The Oaks Course annually hosts the Valero Texas Open, while the Canyons Course is a San Antonio favorite and previous home of the PGA Tour Champions Tour. 

Don’t miss you chance the friendly competition and networking opportunities the Security Service Insurance Golf Classic provides while helping fuel the the largest local scholarship program of all college football bowl games. This year, the Valero Alamo Bowl will award over $1.2 million in scholarships to deserving students representing every participating San Antonio area high school and four-year university.

About the Valero Alamo Bowl

The Valero Alamo Bowl was created in 1993 to bring enjoyment to San Antonians, South Texans, and visitors alike while creating positive economic impact, experiences, and national attention for our community and participating universities.

The organization has produced 31 bowl games and served as the local host for 11 neutral site games. The 31 Valero Alamo Bowl games have combined to deliver over $1.1 billion in total economic impact to San Antonio, 165 million viewers on ESPN, 1.8 million attendees to the Alamodome, and $163+ million to higher education through team payouts ($152.5+ million) and local scholarships ($10.7+ million).

In the 2023 Valero Alamo Bowl, #14 Arizona beat #12 Oklahoma 38-24 in front of 55,853 fans at the Alamodome and 3.9 million viewers on ESPN on December 28. The event generated a total economic impact of $55.9 million, the largest impact since 2010 and fourth highest total in history.
