Seasonal Intern Positions (August – January) – APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN!
Each year the Bowl hires three recent college graduates for 5-month positions in communications/marketing, events, and sales, These August – January full-time roles provide successful candidates the foundation and experience to land impressive jobs at the completion of the program. Creative Services Internship Program – APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN!
NOTE: We will only accept applications for this position from local San Antonio residents with a reliable method of transportation.

The Valero Alamo Bowl hires a local college student to help with Bowl’s videography, photography, and social media efforts. This opportunity is geared for a San Antonio area university student who can work June-November as their schedule allows, and then can commit to full-time help in December. Event Opportunities
Every August the Valero Alamo Bowl hosts a Volunteer Orientation to explain the Bowl’s needs to help us produce 20+ events a year. Our calendar starts at the start of football season with our PNC Pigskin Preview and runs through Bowl Week. For information on how to get involved, please email Kenzi Howton.

December and Bowl Week Opportunities
Annually, the Valero Alamo Bowl has several openings for high school seniors, college students, and recent graduates who want to gain experience during their holiday break. A review of candidates for the following opportunities start each summer and typically fill up by October, so plan accordingly.

  • Micro-Internship: This program is designed for college students who will be in San Antonio the last 2-3 weeks of December. Chosen applicants will receive a wide range of experiences in event management, hospitality services, fan relations, and communications.   • Digital Team: This group is charged with capturing behind-the-scenes experiences from fans and players participating in Bowl Week activities and contributing content to the Valero Alamo Bowl social media accounts. For information on how to apply for the 2025 Digital Team, please click here.

Off-Season Apprenticeship (February – July)
The Valero Alamo Bowl has volunteer opportunities for one or two San Antonio area college students during our off-season. Whether it’s one afternoon a week or as time allows, this is a good way for a busy college student to get experience on a variety of projects without a huge time commitment. Interested students should email Rick Hill.
