With over 20 years of office management experience, Sonya joined the Valero Alamo Bowl as Executive Assistant in 2005 and was promoted to her current role as Director, Executive Services in 2014. She is responsible for the daily accounting and office management as well as managing the Board of Directors and scholarship program.
Prior to joining the bowl, Sonya was the Office Manager at First Data Corporation.
Born and raised a Texan, she left the state to earn a business degree from San Jose State University in 1987, but got back to her roots as soon as her cowboy boots could get her back home.
In an effort to match her namesake who once ate 46 hot dogs in 10 minutes, Sonya rose to the challenge but tapped out at 12.
