As we head into the last two weeks of the regular season, here is the pool of teams available in the post-season:
In the Big 12, OU, OSU, Baylor, Kansas State, Iowa State and Texas Tech are bowl eligible while TCU, Texas and West Virginia each need to win their last two games to go bowling in 2021.
In the Pac-12, Oregon, Oregon State, Utah, Arizona State and UCLA are bowl eligible while Washington State needs one more win to be bowl eligible, Washington and USC need two wins and Cal needs three.
The latest media projections have these teams slated for San Antonio:
ESPN (Bonagura): Oklahoma State vs. Arizona State
ESPN (Schlabach): Baylor vs. Utah
College Football News: Oklahoma vs. Utah
CBS Sports (Jerry Palm): Baylor vs. Utah
Action Network (Brett McMurphy): Baylor vs. Utah
247 Sports (Brad Crawford): Oklahoma vs. Arizona State
Bowl Season (Kevin McNamara): Oklahoma vs. Arizona State
Team Selection Rights
The Valero Alamo Bowl has the #1 selection from the Big 12 and Pac-12 conferences after the CFP.
The CFP host bowls will take a second team from either conference if their top teams finishing ranked #1-4. That means if the season ended today, #3 Oregon would play in a semifinal game at either the Goodyear Cotton Bowl or Capital One Orange Bowl and #23 Utah would go to the Rose Bowl.
On the Big 12 side, their champion (#9 Oklahoma State, #11 Baylor or #13 Oklahoma) would go to the Allstate Sugar Bowl unless they finish in the Top 4. If the other two teams are not at-large selections for the CFP bowls, they would be both be available when the Valero Alamo Bowl makes their selection.
